Marzipan Twist.

  1. For dough, stir 1 tsp sugar with milk adn sprinkle with yeast.
  2. Let sit 5 minutes until frothy.
  3. Sift flour, sugar and salt.
  4. Add melted butter and combine with flour.
  5. Knead on a floured surface cover and let rise for 40 minutes.
  6. Mix together almonds, egg white, sugar and vanilla.
  7. Roll out dough into a 18x12-inch rectangle, spread with filling.
  8. Roll up lengthwise and cut into 2 equal lengths.
  9. Twist together.
  10. Place on baking sheet and let rise 15 minutes.
  11. Bake at 400F degrees for 35 minutes until golden brown.
  12. Serve warm.
