Sweet-Sour Meatballs
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 2/3 c. cracker crumbs
- 1/4 c. minced onion
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1/8 tsp. ginger
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 can pineapple tidbits
- 1/3 c. vinegar
- 2 tsp. soy sauce
- 1/3 c. finely chopped green pepper
- Mix ground beef, cracker crumbs, minced onion, egg, milk and ginger.
- Shape into meatballs; brown them on baking sheet in a 350u0b0 oven.
- Mix cornstarch and sugar.
- Stir in pineapple syrup, vinegar and soy sauce until smooth.
- Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
- Put meatballs in casserole; add syrup mixture, pineapple and green pepper.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
