Sweet N Sour Meatballs
- 1 diced onion
- 1/2 cup dijion mustard
- 6 clove garlic, minced
- 4 cup Ketchup
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1/4 cup White Vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tbsp Whorchester sauce
- 2 tbsp Black pepper
- 2 8oz cans chunked pineapple in juice
- 2 Bags of frozen meatballs (you can also make your own)
- Drain pineapple chunks and reserve juice.
- Sauce #1- in mixing bowl combine onion, mustard and garlic.
- mix well.
- Sauce #2- add ketchup, sugar, vinegar, water, whorchester sauce, pepper and 2tb of reserved pineapple juice in a saucepan and heat for 5 min.
- Arrange meatballs in a 13x9 inch pan.
- ( I use a store bought italian style meatball).
- Arrange pineapple chunks on top of meatballs.
- Pour sauce one on top and stir to incorporate.
- Pour sauce two over top of sauce one.
- bake in 350F oven for one hr.
- Take out and add remaining reserved pineapple juice and stir.
- Bake for another 30min.
- *TIP* you'll have leftover juice.
- I freeze it then next time I wanna cook it I add to crockpot with fresh bag of meatballs.
- So this recipe can be used twice.
