Alta's English Toffee Recipe
- 1 c. Sugar
- 3 tsp Water
- 14 ounce Chocolate bar
- 1 c. Butter
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 c. Minced nuts
- Cook sugar, water, butter, and vanilla together till it is bubbling and is nearly to hard ball stage.
- Pour sugar mix on foil fitted on a a cookie sheet.
- Spread 1/2 of the chocolated (grated) over it and 1/2 of the nuts.
- Turn foil over quickly onto another foil covered cookie sheet and cover with remaining chocolate and nuts.
- Cold, then hit with the handle of a knife to break into pcs.
