Shrimp Or Chicken Curry Recipe
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 1/2 teaspoon curry pwdr
- 3 tbsp. flour
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon grnd ginger
- 1 c. chicken broth
- 1 c. lowfat milk
- 2 c. cooked shrimp or possibly chicken (cut up)
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- Heat butter over low heat in saucepan.
- Saute/fry onion and curry in melted butter.
- Blend in flour and seasonings.
- Cook over low heat till mix is smooth and bubbly.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in broth and lowfat milk.
- Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Boil 1 minute.
- Add in shrimp or possibly chicken and lemon juice.
- Heat.
- Serve over rice with raisins, pineapple, almonds or possibly bacon.
- Serves 4.
