Chocolate Pie With Rold Gold Pretzel Crust

  1. Crust:.
  2. Crush pretzels very fine in a blender or food processor.
  3. Add sugar and butter or margarine.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Press into a 9" pie plate.
  6. Bake at 350 for 8 minutes.
  7. Cool.
  8. Fill with Chocolate Filling.
  9. Filling:.
  10. Combine sugar, cornstarch, milk and chocolate in the top of a double boiler.
  11. Cook over boiling water until thickened, stirring constantly.
  12. Cover and continue to cook 15 minutes.
  13. Stir part of the hot chocolate mixture into the egg yolks.
  14. Add to the chocolate mixture and mix thoroughly.
  15. Cool.
  16. Add vanilla extract and mix thoroughly.
  17. Makes one 9-inch pie.
