Chocolate Covered Apples

  1. Using a double boiler heat water to melt 3 bags of chocolate. Add flavoring if you like.
  2. Take the stick and inset it into apple.
  3. Dip apple all the way in, remove and set on wax paper.
  4. I usually dip 1/2 chocolate and 1/2 white chocolate, but be creative.
  5. When apple dries dip in white chocolate 1/2 way.
  6. Let cool on wax paper.
  7. Melt caramel over double boiler.
  8. Use a lollipop stick and drizzle the caramel over the dipped apple, making a pretty design.
  9. Let cool on wax paper.
  10. Finish by taking gold, red or green ribbon and making a bow on base of stick close to apple.
  11. Set in the decorative box that has green grass in it and give as a gift.
