My Spicy Chili
- 2 lb ground beef (I use 80/20)
- 2 envelope mild chili seasoning
- 1 small onion
- 3 clove fresh garlic
- 1 small jalepeno pepper
- 1 each pablano pepper
- 1 each green or red bell pepper
- 2 can diced tomatoes
- 2 can red kidney beans (rinsed and drained)
- 1 can 8 oz tomato puree
- 1 tbsp basil
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- Brown ground beef in a large pot and drain the grease.
- In a seperate frying pan, put the chopped onion, garlic, and all the chopped peppers in olive oil over medium heat about 5-7 minutes.
- Add to the meat the chili seasoning packets and mix into it until the meat is thoroughly covered.
- Then add the basil, chili powder, diced tomatoes, and tomato puree.
- Let it cook for about 5 minutes so the flavoring can start to absorb into the meat.
- Add the garlic, onion, and peppers into the chili pot and mix it in well.
- Add the beans.
- Let the chili cook on low for 2 hours over low- medium heat and stir on occasion.
- Once the chili has cooked, you can put salt to your liking.
- Enjoy :)
