Cranberry Blondie Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp. CALUMET Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S White Chocolate, divided
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 4 oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- Heat oven to 350F.
- Line 8-inch square pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides.
- Spray with cooking spray.
- Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
- Break 6 oz.
- chocolate into small pieces; place in large microwaveable bowl.
- Add butter.
- Microwave on HIGH 1-1/2 min.
- or until butter is melted; stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended.
- Add granulated sugar; mix well.
- Blend in eggs.
- Add flour mixture; mix well.
- Pour into prepared pan.
- Bake 25 to 30 min.
- or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs.
- (Do not overbake.)
- Cool completely.
- Melt remaining chocolate as directed on package.
- Beat cream cheese in small bowl with mixer until creamy.
- Blend in chocolate.
- Gradually add powdered sugar, mixing well after each addition.
- Use foil handles to remove dessert from pan; discard foil.
- Frost dessert with cream cheese mixture; top with cranberries.
