grilled pork chops with guava glaze
- 6 pork chops three quarter inch
- 2 tbsp Hungarian paprika
- 1/2 tsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp granulated garlic powder
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 melted butter enough to brush on chops I used about quarter cup
- 3 tbsp guava jelly
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp granulated garlic powder
- 1/4 cup shaoxing wine
- 1/3 stick butter 5 pats
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- for the rub mix the spices and cornstarch together rub on the chops put on a hot grill
- each time blood rises up and is visible on top of chops turn keep doing this till chops turn white and pulls from bone this is a good sign its done use a meat thermometer when its 165F Fahrenheit in center its done add butter and turn add butter again add glaze if you desire good both ways
- add all the ingrediants but cornstarch and water cook 7 minutes boiling mix cornstarch and water well add to boiling glaze bring to boil stirring it will thicken a bit
