Tamale Pie Ole
- 1 1/2 c. biscuit mix
- 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
- 1/2 c. cold water
- 1 (15 oz.) can hot chili with beans
- 1 (7 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained
- 1 (4 oz.) can green chili peppers, chopped and drained
- 1 (3 1/2 oz.) can pitted black olives, drained
- 1 carton (8 oz.) sour cream
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
- Combine biscuit mix, cornmeal and water; mix to form a soft dough.
- Press on the bottom and sides of a greased 9 x 13-inch glass baking dish.
- Stir together chili, chili peppers, corn, olives, sour cream and onion.
- Pour over dough and bake at 400u0b0 for 20 minutes.
- Remove from oven and top with grated cheese while hot.
- Serves 6 to 8.
