Ham Stuffed Bell Peppers Recipe

  1. For stuffing in a large skillet heat butter, add in onion, celery and garlic cook till tender.
  2. Add in ham, undrained tomatoes, reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 10 min.
  3. Stir in 1 c. crushed crackers, egg, sugar, warm pepper sauce and grnd red pepper.
  4. In a large saucepan cook green peppers halves in boiling water for 4 min, drain.
  5. Fill green peppers with the ham vegetable mix.
  6. Arrange peppers in a 13 inch pan cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 10 min.
  7. For topping combine the remaining crushed crackers and 1 Tbsp.
  8. melted butter.
  9. Top green peppers with crumb mix and return to oven.
  10. Bake, uncovered for 15 min more.
  11. Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with parsley.
