Apple Gingerbread Bars Recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 350 .
  2. Using a 9 x 13 baking pan - lightly oil Or possibly spray with a nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Liberally sprinkle cinnamon in bottom of pan.
  4. Arrange apple slices over the cinnamon proportionately.
  5. Combine both flours, baking pwdr, baking soda and spices in a large bowl and mix well.
  6. In another bowl combine remaining ingredients.
  7. With either a fork or possibly wire whisk - beat till well blended.
  8. Add in to dry mix and mix just till all ingredents are moist.
  9. Spread batter over apple slices proportionately.
  10. Bake for 25 min, till a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  11. Place pan on wire wire and cold for 3 min - then invert onto a serving plate.
  12. For best flavor - serve hot.
