Hearty Beef Soup Recipe
- 6 c. water
- 1 1/2 tbsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. Hearty Beef Soup Mix
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 1-2 ribs celery, sliced
- 1 1/2 c. shredded cabbage
- 30 ounce. beef broth (canned or possibly bouillon)
- 24 ounce. can vegetable juice
- 1 pound leftover, cooked meat, cut up
- Or possibly 1 lb.
- grnd beef, browned.
- Put water, salt and soup fold in a large kettle; bring to a boil.
- Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hrs.
- Add in remaining ingredients.
- Simmer till vegetables are cooked and done.
- Makes about 4 qts.
- Freezes well.
