- 1 lemongrass stalk, halved crosswisebottom half smashed, top half reserved for garnish
- Ice
- 1 2/3 ounces Cognac
- 2/3 ounce St-Germain elderflower liqueur
- 2/3 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 2 basil leaves, smacked
- Gently rub the inside of a chilled martini glass with the smashed lemongrass and discard.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Add all of the remaining ingredients except the garnish and shake well.
- Strain into the prepared martini glass and garnish with the lemongrass top.
