Apple Cake

  1. Cream the butter with the sugar.
  2. Incorporate one egg at a time, then mix in the yogurt (plain or any flavour you like) and the two flours mixed with the grated lemon peel.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Slice the apple thinly.
  5. Butter and flour a 26cm cake tin.
  6. Pour in half of the cake mixture.
  7. Add half of the sliced apples, then top with the remaining cake mix.
  8. Place the rest of the apple slices on top.
  9. Cook in a preheated oven (180C or 355F) for 40 to 50 minutes
  10. Hint: to save time, you can use a food processor!
