Beef Rice Bowl (Just Like Yoshinoya's!)
- 250 grams Beef (thinly sliced)
- 1 Onion
- 1 piece Ginger
- 1/2 the amount of the water Sukiyaki sauce (commercial)
- 1 enough to cover Water
- 1 tsp Dashi stock granules
- 1 dash of each Salt and pepper
- Cut the onion in wedges and the finely julienne the ginger.
- The beef is used as-is.
- Heat some oil in a frying pan and lightly stir fry the beef, then add the onion and continue stir frying.
- Add a little salt and pepper.
- Add water and ginger to the frying pan, and remove the scum diligently as shown in the photo.
- When the scum is removed add the sukiyaki sauce and dashi stock granules, and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes with the lid on.
- Serve a generous amount on top of rice, with lots of sauce!
- Beni-shoga red pickled pepper is a nice garnish.
