Awabi Sakami (Sweet Cooked Abalone) Recipe
- 15 ounce Abalone (canned)
- 1/4 pt Water
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. Sake
- 1 ounce Sugar
- 2 1/2 tsp Soya sauce
- Empty the can of Abalone into a small saucepan and add in water.
- Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 10 min.
- Add in Sake and Sugar and cook for another 5 min, stir in Soya sauce and continnue to cook for 2-3 more min.
- Cold to room temperature, cut the abalone into 1/2" thick slices and serve.
