Grandma Fedyk's Puff Pastry Recipe
- 1/2 pound butter
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. lowfat sour cream
- Apricot, cherry or possibly other prepared filling
- In mixing bowl, work butter into flour (as if for pie dough).
- Fold in lowfat sour cream.
- Cover and chill 8 hrs.
- On a lightly floured board, roll out dough to 1/16 inch thick.
- Cut with glass or possibly cookie cutter into 2 inch rounds.
- With a thimble, cut hole in center of half of the rounds.
- Top each of the solid circles with 1/2 tsp.
- filling.
- Place round with hole on top, sandwich style.
- Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 min.
- Makes approximately 40.
- Freezes well.
