Poormans Steak
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 1/2 cups Bread Crumbs
- 1 Tablespoon Emeril's Original Essence
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Seasoned Salt
- 3 whole Eggs, Divided
- 1/2 teaspoons Crushed Oregano
- 1/4 cups Oil
- 1/2 cups Flour, Seasoned With Salt, Pepper, And Your Preferred Spices (enough To Dredge Meat Patties)
- 2 Tablespoons Canned Mushroom Pieces
- 1 can (10.75 Oz.) Cream Of Mushroom Soup
- 1/2 cups Milk, Plus Extra For Beaten Egg Used To Bread Patties
- Mix together the ground beef, bread crumbs, essence, salt, seasoned salt, 2 eggs, and oregano in a bowl.
- Press flat into a greased 8x10 pan or glass dish.
- Cut into six seperate pieces.
- Place in the freezer for half hour.
- Heat 1/4 cup of oil in skillet.
- Now we want to bread the patties, so mix the remaining egg and a bit of milk together and dip the patties into the mixture and then into some seasoned flour.
- Place the breaded patties into the skillet until both sides have a golden brown look, about two minutes on each side.
- Dont worry if they arent done in the middle, we arent done cooking them!
- Mix the mushrooms, mushroom soup, and half a cup of milk together.
- Place patties into a baking dish and pour soup mixture over them.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes and voila!
- They will eat it up!
