Natural Baby Wipes
- 1 Roll of a "cloth like" paper towel
- 4 cup Filtered, distilled or bottled water
- 2 Sprigs of lavender (optional)
- 5 Chamomile flowers (optional)
- 1/2 cup Himalayan salt crystals
- 2 tbsp Organic coconut oil
- 1 tsp Sweet almond oil
- 6 Drops of Sweet Orange essential oil
- 1 tbsp Baby wash or Castile soap
- 2 Air tight containers
- In a large glass jar, pour the himalayan salt crystals.
- Then in a small pot, boil three of the four cups of water with the chamomile and lavender to create an herbal water.
- This step is not necessary but I like the added benefits these calming herbs provide.
- Bring herbs to a boil, remove from heat and steep for 10 minutes.
- Strain water and pour into the jar.
- Add the coconut oil.
- Add the sweet almond oil.
- Add the natural baby wash.
- Add the sweet orange essential oil.
- Put the lid on and with a towel, shake the jar to mix all the ingredients.
- Add the last cup of water and allow to chill.
- The remaining salt will dissolve better in cold liquid.
- You will have extra solution for another full roll of paper towels.
- You can make one to keep at the grandparents or give to a mommy friend.
- While the solution sets, unwrap the paper towel.
- With a sharp, long knife, cut the roll in half.
- Remove the roll from the middle of each half.
- Place the roll half in a container and pour 1 cup of the solution over the paper towels, close and allow 15-20 minutes for the towels to fully absorb the solution.
- Now do the same for the other roll and you got one for home and one for the go.
