Easy Sesame Tofu with Kanten
- 4 grams Powdered kanten
- 1 tbsp White sesame paste
- 450 ml Soy milk
- 100 ml Dashi stock
- 1 tsp Usukuchi soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 Wasabi
- Put the dashi stock in a pot and add the powdered kanten.
- Dissolve the kanten.
- Put the sesame paste in a bowl and pour in the mixture from Step 1.
- Mix well.
- Heat the soy milk in a pot and add the mixture from Step 2.
- Bring to a boil over low heat, stirring to prevent lumps.
- When it's well mixed and bubbles start to form around the edges of the pot, remove from heat.
- Immediately place the pot over cold water to cool and stir until thickened.
- After the mixture thickens, pour it into a mold and chill in the refrigerator.
- Cut into desired sizes and serve with wasabi.
