Super Easy Caramel Sauce

  1. In a large, deep pot set on high heat, add sugar, water and corn syrup.
  2. Whisk constantly until a light to medium golden brown color.
  3. Keep an eye on this as it can burn quickly.
  4. Add cream.
  5. Be careful as the mixture wants to boil up and can overflow.
  6. Whisk vigorously to prevent this.
  7. This is a very, very hot mixture and can cause serious burns if not handled with extreme care.
  8. Remove from heat and let cool.
  9. Pour into a glass container if not using right away.
  10. This can be stored in the refrigerator tightly covered for one week.
