- 1 pkg. seasoned croutons / bread stuffing
- 1 tbsp. sage
- 1 md. onion, diced
- 3 stalks celery, diced
- 1 cube butter
- 2 to 3 cans chicken broth (depends on how moist you want it)
- 2 cans smoked oysters
- Melt the butter.
- Add the onion and celery and saute until tender.
- Add the broth and heat.
- Pour over the croutons.
- Add the smoked oysters, oil and all.
- Mix.
- Pour into buttered pan and cover with buttered foil.
- Bake for 20 minutes at 350F then remove foil and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
- If you want to stuff your bird instead of baking, follow directions on crouton bag for amount of chicken broth as the stuffing will soak up the juices inside your turkey.
- The oysters will also give your turkey an additional hint of flavor.
