Caramel Apple Breakfast Rolls Recipe
- 1/2 c. packed dark or possibly light brown sugar
- 1/2 c. whipping (heavy) cream
- 1/4 c. minced pecans
- 1 can refridgerated breadsticks (11 ounce.)
- 1/3 c. cinnamon-flavored applesauce
- Heat oven to 350i.
- Mix brown sugar and whipping cream in ungreased round pan, 8 x 1 1/2 inches, sprinkle with pecans.
- Unroll breadstick dough, but don't separate into breadsticks.
- Spread applesauce over dough.
- Roll up dough from short end; separate at perforations.
- Place coiled dough in pan.
- Bake 15 to 20 min or possibly till golden.
- Cold 1 minute.
- Invert pan onto heatproof tray or possibly serving plate.
- Let stand 1 minute so caramel will drizzle over rolls.
- NOTES : Regular applesauce can be used in place of the cinnamon-flavored, if desired; just stir 1/4 tsp.
- grnd cinnamon into the applesauce.
