Easy Russian Piroshki Recipe
- 3 loaves frzn bread dough, thawed
- 3 med. onions, minced
- 1 med. head of cabbage, minced
- 1 1/2 lbs. grnd beef
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Brown beef and onion in heavy skillet in a small amount of oil.
- Add in cabbage, salt and pepper (do not drain).
- Steam till cabbage is tender and lightly brown, let cold.
- Roll dough 1/4" thick and cut in 2 1/2" squares.
- Place 2 heaping Tbsp.
- of mix on top of square in the center.
- Place another square on top, healthy pinch the side together.
- Brush on a little butter.
- Put into greased pan.
- Let rise 15 to 20 min.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 min, till brown.
