Mutter Paneer
- 1/2 cups Onion, Roughly Chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1 piece Ginger, grated
- 1 Green Chili
- 1 Tablespoon Ghee Or Canola Oil
- 1 cup Cubed Paneer Or Cottage Cheese
- 1 Tablespoon Black Cumin
- 1 cup Tomato Paste Or Puree
- 3/4 cups Milk Or Cream
- 1 teaspoon Salt To Taste
- 1 cup Frozen Peas
- Naan Or Roti, To Serve
- Grind onion, ginger, garlic and green chili to make a paste.
- Heat ghee in a pan.
- Fry cubed paneer turned frequently, until it turns slightly brown.
- Add cumin.
- Once the cumin gives off a nice aroma, add the ground onion mixture.
- Fry until the onion turns brown, about 2 minutes.
- Add tomato puree and cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Add milk or cream and paneer.
- Add salt and peas and lower the heat.
- Cook for 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve warm with naan or roti.
- Enjoy.
