Fruited Chicken

  1. In plastic or paper bag, mix the 3/4 cup flour, salt, celery salt, garlic salt and nutmeg.
  2. Shake chicken pieces, a few at a time, in flour mixture until coated.
  3. In large skillet, melt butter or margarine.
  4. Brown chicken on all sides.
  5. Place chicken in 13 1/2 x 8 3/4 x 1 3/4-inch baking dish.
  6. Drain pineapple; reserve 1 cup syrup.
  7. Sprinkle pineapple over chicken.
  8. Stir the 3 tablespoons flour and the sugar into butter remaining in skillet. Add reserved pineapple syrup and soy sauce; cook and stir until mixture thickens and bubbles.
  9. Spoon evenly over chicken and pineapple.
  10. Cover and bake in a 350u0b0 oven for 1 hour.
  11. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
