Drop Amish Cookies Recipe
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. lard
- 2 Large eggs
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 6 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 3 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 teaspoon soda
- Cream sugar and lard.
- Add in Large eggs, nutmeg, vanilla, and baking pwdr.
- Mix soda with lowfat milk and add in alternately flour and drop with soup spoon on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake plain or possibly sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon or possibly sugar.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 min or possibly till lightly browned.
- Make 5 dozen.
- Only 122 calories per cookies.
