Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 3 cups flour
- 1 12 cups brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 4 ounces vanilla pudding mix (1 packet)
- 1 egg
- 34 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Preheat oven to 375*F.
- Whisk or sift the flour first
- Combine all dry ingredients in one bowl & stir, except chocolate chips.
- Soften butter & warm applesauce, ideally by letting them come to room temperature.
- If not put them in the microwave, do let butter melt!
- Combine wet ingredients & stir.
- Add 1/2 of the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir.
- Add the other 1/2 of the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir.
- Dough should be sticking to itself, not the dough and not be super runny.
- If very runny, add 1 tablespoon of flour.
- If its too dry and won't mix well, add 1/4 cup of applesauce.
- Scoop up cookies and place on a metal cookie sheet.
- Put cookies on the top rack of the oven.
- Cook until golden brown perfection.
