Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 375*F.
  2. Whisk or sift the flour first
  3. Combine all dry ingredients in one bowl & stir, except chocolate chips.
  4. Soften butter & warm applesauce, ideally by letting them come to room temperature.
  5. If not put them in the microwave, do let butter melt!
  6. Combine wet ingredients & stir.
  7. Add 1/2 of the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir.
  8. Add the other 1/2 of the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir.
  9. Dough should be sticking to itself, not the dough and not be super runny.
  10. If very runny, add 1 tablespoon of flour.
  11. If its too dry and won't mix well, add 1/4 cup of applesauce.
  12. Scoop up cookies and place on a metal cookie sheet.
  13. Put cookies on the top rack of the oven.
  14. Cook until golden brown perfection.
