Kramambuli (Tea Cocktail)

  1. Steep the chamomile in water that has just reached a boil for 5 minutes; strain.
  2. Combine all ingredients (including the tea) in a medium pot.
  3. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
  4. Gently simmer for 2 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat, and then cover and let steep for 20 minutes.
  6. After the mixture has steeped, remove the bay leaf and cinnamon stick.
  7. Warm it over low heat, but do not boil.
  8. Serve immediately.
