Ground Beef, Corn And Tomato Pie Recipe
- 2 tbsp. fat
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 1 onion, minced
- 1 pound grnd beef
- 2 c. canned tomatoes
- 2 c. canned corn
- 4 tbsp. butter
- 5 tbsp. flour
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon chili pwdr
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- Pie crust
- Heat fat and saute/fry garlic and onion; stir in grnd meat and brown.
- Add in tomatoes and corn.
- Heat butter; stir in flour.
- Add in these ingredients to the meat mix; stir and cook till boiling.
- Season with sugar, chili pwdr, salt and paprika.
- Place in a greased, oven-proof dish.
- Top with pie crust, biscuits or possibly slices of buttered bread.
- Place in a warm oven at 425 degrees till the top is done, about 20 min.
- Yield 6 servings.
