momma's Turkey and rice soup

  1. put Turkey carcass into large stock pot, cover with water and boil for 6-8 hours
  2. strain anything solid out of Turkey stock
  3. add one tablespoon salt
  4. chop vegetables into small pieces
  5. in a separate pan melt better and saute carrots, onion,celery, and garlic with a pinch of salt and pepper
  6. add cooked vegetables to Turkey stock
  7. add chopped Turkey meat
  8. cook 1 cup rice with 2 cups chicken broth
  9. once rice is thoroughly cooked add it to the soup
  10. simmer together for about 10 minutes and serve
