Sausage Hors dOeuvres
- 1 pound spicy pork sausage
- 10 ounces Cheddar cheese, grated
- 3 cups baking mix, such as Bisquick, or self-rising flour
- Salt and pepper
- Preheat the oven to 375F.
- Using a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the sausage, cheese, and baking mix and beat on low speed until blended.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until browned.
- Drain on paper towels, and serve hot, warm, or at room temperature.
- Double this recipe, bake, and freeze half for use at a later time.
- I like Jimmy Deans sage sausage for this recipe.
