Sausage Hors dOeuvres

  1. Preheat the oven to 375F.
  2. Using a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the sausage, cheese, and baking mix and beat on low speed until blended.
  3. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes, or until browned.
  6. Drain on paper towels, and serve hot, warm, or at room temperature.
  7. Double this recipe, bake, and freeze half for use at a later time.
  8. I like Jimmy Deans sage sausage for this recipe.
