Nagaimo Yam and Pork Teriyaki Rolls
- 300 grams Thinly sliced pork
- 1 less than 1/2 Nagaimo yam
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 3 tbsp Cooking sake
- 2 tbsp Mirin
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 Katakuriko
- 1 White roasted sesame seeds
- 1 Vegetable oil
- Peel the skin of the yam and slice into semicircles about 1.5cm thick.
- Spread one piece of thinly sliced pork.
- Place the yam from Step 1 to the end closer to you and roll it up.

- Sprinkle katakuriko to coat the surface of the meat.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan.
- Line the meat with the sealed side facing down in the pan and saute.
- While you are grilling the meat, mix ingredients together.
- Roll the meat to let the surface of the meat brown all over.
- When the meat is done, turn down the heat and drizzle the ingredients from Step 6 in.
- Shake the pan and roll the meat with chopsticks to coat well.
- Dish up on a plate and sprinkle sesame seeds, then they're done.
- Note: This time, I used about 300g of pork off-cuts and made 14 rolls.
- Note: It'll be sweet so if you don't like the sweet taste, reduce the amount of sugar and adjust.
