Nagaimo Yam and Pork Teriyaki Rolls

  1. Peel the skin of the yam and slice into semicircles about 1.5cm thick.
  2. Spread one piece of thinly sliced pork.
  3. Place the yam from Step 1 to the end closer to you and roll it up.

  6. Sprinkle katakuriko to coat the surface of the meat.
  7. Heat vegetable oil in a pan.
  8. Line the meat with the sealed side facing down in the pan and saute.
  9. While you are grilling the meat, mix ingredients together.
  10. Roll the meat to let the surface of the meat brown all over.
  11. When the meat is done, turn down the heat and drizzle the ingredients from Step 6 in.
  12. Shake the pan and roll the meat with chopsticks to coat well.
  13. Dish up on a plate and sprinkle sesame seeds, then they're done.
  14. Note: This time, I used about 300g of pork off-cuts and made 14 rolls.
  15. Note: It'll be sweet so if you don't like the sweet taste, reduce the amount of sugar and adjust.
