Beanless chili
- 2 1/2 lb pork cushion meat
- 1/2 cup celery
- 1 large bell pepper
- 1/4 cup dehydrated onion flakes
- 1/4 cup ground cumin
- 2 tbsp granulated garlic powder
- 15 1/2 diced tomatoes
- 15 1/2 oz tomato sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, more if you like
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp cilantro
- 1 cup shredded colby jack cheese
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 lb ground meat I used beef you can use your favorite
- 1/4 lb bulk sausage I used Odom's Tennessee Pride
- 1 tbsp yellow prepared mustard
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- Cut the meat into cubes, bite sized pieces.
- Add in sausage and ground meat and fry in a pan with oil.
- Add cumin, garlic, turmeric, and salt.
- Add onions, celery, cilantro, and bell pepper let cook with meat.
- Add yellow mustard
- When meat is done add tomato sauce, tomato paste, and diced tomatoes.
- Bring to boil, turn down to a simmer.
- Simmer, stirring occasionally, for an hour
- Taste, adjust seasoning to your taste.
- Add cheese to your bowl on top of your chili.
- Serve hope you enjoy!
