Baked Gouda With Red Onion Marmalade

  1. For red onion marmalade - thinly slice red onion.
  2. Add olive oil to pan and cook red onion on medium heat for about 10 minutes, until they are soft.
  3. Sprinkle brown sugar and salt.
  4. Add red wine vinegar, cook until reduced, stirring constantly.
  5. Add red wine, cook until reduced, stirring constantly.
  6. Set aside.
  7. Spread jelly on top of cheese.
  8. Wrap wheel of cheese in crescent rolls (usually half a package).
  9. Place on pan (pizza stone is good), a bake for approximately 15 - 20 minutes, at 375.
  10. Watch to see if cheese is gooey and make sure you don't burn the crescent rolls.
  11. Take out, top with marmalade, cranberries and walnuts.
  12. Serve immediately with sliced apples (or multigrain crackers, bosc pears, etc.
  13. ).
