Thanksgiving Cranberry Sauce

  1. Rinse cranberries and pour into large saucepan along with apple cider, cinnamon, allspice, cloves, and sage leaves.
  2. Cover and simmer over medium-low heat for 60-70 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat, uncover, and remove sage leaves.
  4. While still hot, add sugar and salt and stir until mixed well and dissolved.
  5. When cooled, you can blend half or all of it to get the smoother texture.
  6. I prefer mine as "whole" cranberry sauce, so I leave it as is.
