Thanksgiving Cranberry Sauce
- 36 oz Whole Cranberries
- 2 cup Apple Cider
- 1 tbsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Ground Allspice
- 1/4 tsp Ground Gloves
- 4 large Sage Leaves
- 1 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- Rinse cranberries and pour into large saucepan along with apple cider, cinnamon, allspice, cloves, and sage leaves.
- Cover and simmer over medium-low heat for 60-70 minutes.
- Remove from heat, uncover, and remove sage leaves.
- While still hot, add sugar and salt and stir until mixed well and dissolved.
- When cooled, you can blend half or all of it to get the smoother texture.
- I prefer mine as "whole" cranberry sauce, so I leave it as is.
