Black-Eyed Peas

  1. Cover peas with water and soak over night.
  2. Drain and place in kettle with fresh water to cover.
  3. Add salt and garlic halves.
  4. Cook until tender.
  5. Before serving heat oil in skillet.
  6. Add mashed garlic, green peppers, onion, bay leaf.
  7. Cook till tender.
  8. Add vinegar, salt and pepper.
  9. Pour over peas.
  10. Blend and serve hot.
