Gram's Stuffed Cabbage Recipe

  1. In boiling water, place cabbage and cook till leaves can be easily cut off.
  2. (Do not overcook).
  3. Set leaves aside.
  4. Mix uncooked grnd beef, minced onion, rice, salt, pepper, Large eggs.
  5. Put large Tbsp.
  6. of mix into each leaf, roll up, put open ends down.
  7. Layer these in large casserole or possibly roasting pan.
  8. Place left over cabbage in between rolled cabbage.
  9. Top with 4 cans of tomato soup, brown sugar, and 3 - 3 1/2 c. water.
  10. Cover - bake 6 hrs or possibly so at 325 degrees.
  11. It will bubble.
  12. There should be sufficient liquid to cover the cabbage.
