Squealer Bacon Burger
- 48 slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon
- - ground sirloin Safeway 1 lb For $5.99 thru 02/09
- to taste salt and pepper
- 24 each kaiser rolls, split, toasted
- 3 cups A.1. Gourmet Sauce, Dijon Roasted Garlic
- 24 each leaf lettuce
- 4 each tomatoes, each cut into 6 thin slices Safeway 1 lb For $1.29 thru 02/09
- 48 each frozen breaded onion rings, fried, drained
- Place bacon in single layer in parchment paper-lined sheet pans.
- Bake in 350 degrees F-convection oven 3 to 4 min.
- or until partially cooked.
- Remove from pan; drain.
- Cool completely.
- Place in meat grinder or food processor; grind to form paste.
- Mix bacon paste with ground sirloin until well blended.
- Shape into 24 (4-oz.)
- patties (or shape into one 4-oz.
- patty for trial recipe).
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Cover and refrigerate until ready to cook.
- For each serving: Season 1 meat patty with salt and pepper.
- Grill on medium-high heat 2 to 3 min.
- on each side or until medium (160 degrees F), or desired doneness.
- Spread cut sides of roll with 2 Tbsp.
- garlic sauce.
- Place 1 lettuce leaf and 1 tomato slice on bottom half of roll; top with burger and 2 onion rings.
- Cover with top of roll.
