Hearty Split Pea Soup

  1. In a Dutch oven or soup kettle, combine all ingredients and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat and cover.
  3. Simmer for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours or until peas and vegetables are tender.
