No Proofing: Cheddar Cheese Paratha
- 50 grams Cake flour
- 50 grams Bread (strong) flour
- 1 tbsp Grated cheese
- 1/3 tsp Salt
- 1 pinch Raw cane sugar
- 1 as much (to taste) Black pepper
- 1/2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 4 tbsp Lukewarm water
- 6 slice Cheddar cheese
- 1 Melted butter
- Combine the cake flour, bread flour, grated cheese, salt, raw cane sugar, black pepper, and vegetable oil in a bowl.
- Add the lukewarm water a little at a time while mixing with a rubber spatula.
- Knead the dough from Step 1 with your hands until smooth, gather it into a ball, wrap with plastic wrap, and let rest for about 20 minutes.
- Dust a rolling pin with flour (amount not included in list above) and roll the dough out into a disc.
- Break up the cheese and wrap it up in the dough.
- Set with the seam on the bottom, then press until it is a disc about the size of your frying pan.
- Heat a non-stick pan, then cook both sides of the bread.
- When applying the seasonings, melt butter and brush onto both sides.
- Brown both sides.
- Slice the bread into your desired size and serve.
