Crab and Avocado Dip on Chips - Gourmet Style ;)
- 3 Hass avocadoes
- 3 limes, juiced
- 14 cup basil, chiffonade
- 1 cup jumbo crabmeat (use as much or little as you would like)
- salt and pepper
- tortilla chips (i use the ones made of corn so my celiac mom can enjoy these too, but you can also use toasted pita )
- In one bowl combine the avocados, juice of 2 limes, salt and pepper.Mix this together until it is of chunky consistency.
- In another bowl combine the crab meat, basil, salt, pepper and the juice of the last lime.
- Mix together, being careful not to pull apart the meat.
- Arrange your tortilla chips on a serving platter and place a teaspoonful of the avocado mixture on top of each of them and then 1/2 teaspoon of the crab on top of the avocado.
- If you have any extra basil you can add a little to the top of the chip.
- This amounts are up to you actually, but this is what i recommend.
- So you can try it and put as much or as little of the avocado and crab meat mixtures as you want.
