Easy Bread Stuffing
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 2 stalks celery, sliced
- 1 cup ORE-IDA Chopped Onions
- 1 tsp. dried tarragon leaves
- 1 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 4 cups firm white bread cubes (3/4 inch)
- 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth
- Heat oven to 350F.
- Melt butter in large skillet on medium heat.
- Add celery and onions; cook 3 to 5 min.
- or until crisp-tender, stirring frequently.
- Add dry seasonings; cook and stir 1 min.
- Spoon into large bowl.
- Add bread and parsley; mix lightly.
- Whisk eggs and broth until blended.
- Add to bread mixture; mix lightly.
- Spoon into 8-inch square baking dish sprayed with cooking spray; cover.
- Bake 30 min.
- or until heated through, uncovering after 15 min.
