Braised Chicken Gizzards Recipe

  2. Remove fat and outer membrane of gizzards; cut each in 6 slices.
  3. Slice water chestnuts, bamboo shoots and onion.
  4. Mince ginger root.

  6. Heat oil.
  7. Add in onions and ginger; stir fry a few times.
  8. Add in gizzards and stir-fry 1 to 2 min.
  9. Stir in soy sauce, sherry and salt.

  11. Add in water chestnuts, bamboo shoots and water.
  12. Heat quickly; then simmer, covered, till tender (20 to 30 min).
