A Hint of Chinese Five Spiced Chicken Ham with Soy Sauce Malt

  1. Put the chicken breasts into a resealable bag.
  2. Add soy sauce koji, honey, Chinese five spice powder and mix well.
  3. Remove the excess air from the bag and chill in the fridge overnight.
  4. Place the chicken breasts in boiling water.
  5. Cook over a low heat for 5 to 8 minutes.
  6. When the chicken has boiled, check the seasoning.
  7. If necessary, add 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  8. Cover with a lid and let sit until cooled.
  9. Once cooled, chill in the fridge overnight.
  10. Done Slice thinly and serve as they are.
  11. Use in salads or as a sandwich filling.
  12. This is a salad using this chicken ham, wakame seaweed and new season onion.
  13. Grain mustard is great for this salad and you can eat plenty of wakame seaweed.
