Mary's Rum Balls

• 2 cups vanilla wafer cookies, finely crushed
• 12 oz. chipits
• 1-1/2 cup butter
• 1 cup almond paste
• 1 cup sour cream
• 3 cups icing sugar
• 2/3 cup cocoa
• 1-1/2 cup rum
• 3/4 lb. pecans, finely chopped
• 1-1/2 lb. chocolate hail

1. Melt butter with chipits.
2. Combine almond paste with sour cream.
3. Mix all ingredients except hail.
4. Let batter cool before rolling.
5. Form into bite-size balls and roll in hail.
