Chocolate-Covered Cherry Cookies

• 1 package brownie mix
• 2 large eggs
• 1/4 cup vegetable shortening
• 1 cup pecans chopped
• 1 jars maraschino cherries

1. Blend brownie mix with chocolate-flavor syrup (supplied with boxed mix), eggs and shortening.
2. Dough will be stiff.
3. Mix until well blended.
4. Stir in pecans and cherries.
5. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
6. Bake 8 minutes.
7. Remove cookies from oven while still soft and underbaked.
8. Let cool 2 to 3 minutes before removing from cookie sheets.
