Hoke (Pork) Chops
- 6 pork chops
- 2 Shallots (sliced)
- 1 Bulb of Garlic (sliced)
- 1 stick of butter
- 1 can Vegetable broth
- 1 box Mushrooms (sliced)
- In large skillet melt butter.
- Add shallots, garlic, and mushrooms and saute'.
- In another skillet add olive oil and place on medium heat.
- Lightly coat pork chops with flour and season with salt and pepper and place in skillet and brown on both sides.
- Once browned, take pork chops and place them in the large skillet on top of the mushrooms.
- Add vegetable broth.
- Bring to a boil then let simmer about an hour.
- Plate and spoon mushroom sauce over pork chops and enjoy.
- Pairs well with White Wine, steamed asparagus or spinach, and rice.
