Hoke (Pork) Chops

  1. In large skillet melt butter.
  2. Add shallots, garlic, and mushrooms and saute'.
  3. In another skillet add olive oil and place on medium heat.
  4. Lightly coat pork chops with flour and season with salt and pepper and place in skillet and brown on both sides.
  5. Once browned, take pork chops and place them in the large skillet on top of the mushrooms.
  6. Add vegetable broth.
  7. Bring to a boil then let simmer about an hour.
  8. Plate and spoon mushroom sauce over pork chops and enjoy.
  9. Pairs well with White Wine, steamed asparagus or spinach, and rice.
